Coloring – Fluffy kitty

I stamp my images with black StazOn (this I heat set with my heat tool) or Memento ink (by Tsukineko, this I don’t heat set).

I usually refer to my Copic color reference sheet. I decide which colors I’m going to use and then color them in. I like to leave bits of white here and there.

I pick slightly darker versions of my base colors and here I added Fluffy’s stripes and also a bit of darker gray shadow in his mouth.

I think adding touches of white is important. Here I’ve gone back in with a white Gelly Roll pen and added highlights to his nose and some little dots on his fur.
