Judy created this cute card using just one stamp – Stuart the bug-ologist. Using simple rectangle shapes she layered, layered and layered some more. :) I think the three green brads and the shiny ribbon add just the right finishing touches. A wonderful summer card – thanks for sharing Judy.

Looks like Kati Ann is drumming up business for her lemonade sales – such the entrepreneur .

Georgia created this great card using lots of little framed areas. The lemon slices look so refreshing and I love the price scratched out and the “Open” sign. She finished it all off with a wonderful polka dot bow.

I don’t know about you but if you’ll excuse me I think I need to grab a glass and pour myself a glass of lemonade!

This card is really great because Kriss actually used a Christmas stamp and by masking, took away some parts and made it into a great road trip card. The actual stamp starts as this:

I love the use of the map, it adds authenticity to the feeling of an actual road trip. And of course I love seeing what people do with stamps that start out as one thing and end up being something completely different. Thanks Kriss for the great idea!


If you’d like to make this card here’s what Kriss did:

1. Cut map to 4” x 5.2” and mount to front of 4.25” x 5.5” blue side-folded card.
2. Mask the tree of Getting the Family Tree stamp with a Post-It note and ink stamp with Jet Black ink. Remove Post-It and stamp image on 2.75” x 4” white cardstock. Stamp saying and color images.
3. Stamp license plate part of Getting the Family Tree stamp on white cardstock. Cut out license plate and use backside to make your own custom plate. Glue on top of existing license plate on car.
4. Mount to 3” x 4.25” black cardstock and mount to card.
5. Stamp bottom right corner with speed limit.

Georgia created a fun Road Trip card for this summer’s travel adventures. I love the use of her background map! Can’t you just see them toodling down the road – parent’s driving, kid’s in the backseat pokin’ and jabbin’ and playing games and the family dog in the back just taking it all in. I love her use of red – the car, the ribbon, even the lines on the map. Very cute!

If you want something to pop, using black and white is the answer because there is nothing higher in contrast.

Well this card by Kriss really pops! And the borders created by layering cardstock frame the card quite nicely.

Here’s what Kriss did…

1. Stamp Tree Hill and Today’s Mighty Oak with Watermark Resist Ink on 4 ¼” x 5 ¼” black cardstock and emboss with Seafoam White Embossing Powder.
2. Mount to 4 ½” x 5 ½” white cardstock.
3. Mount to 4 ¾” x 5 ¾” black cardstock.
4. Mount to 5” x 6” top-folded white card.

Crafty Math Chick got creative with ribbon for this card.

She attached the woven ribbons to the background and then layered the blue scalloped circle, the brown paw print circle and then a Riley cut out on the very top.

Personally I didn’t know there were so many doggy related ones out there! Great job!

Isn’t this the cutest invitation. Georgia has such an eye for putting colors together – the aqua waves with big polka dots and the bright sunny polka dot orange. I love too that she used thicker pop dots behind the Family Holiday label, Yardley kitty and the waves – it really adds such dimension.

She also sent in a picture of the actual invitation with Scooter down at the bottom – notice he’s sporting the same colors she used on the front. To finish it all of two different ribbons were tied at the top. Kinda makes me wish I was part of the family and getting one of these in the mail. :)

Judy called this card “breakfast, lunch and dinner”. Oh my!

I love the fact that the fish swim outside the circle – very clever. Everything is nicely tied together with Judy’s use of dots – a big dot for the fish to swim in, the dot background and the purple polka dot ribbon – she even added tiny bubble dots with the fish.

Looks like Tarzan kitty is going to be lickin’ his chops very soon!

This card was created for my daughter to send along to her grandma. Spending the night at Grandma’s house is always a treat and it will be fun to remind Grandma that she really IS magical and she really DOES make her granddaughter feel like a fairy.

The card uses the Gran’s got hot chocolate image, although the cups of hot chocolate were cut off and replaced with none other than Grandma’s best box of fairy dust. Isn’t it grand to alter images to create a special scene? And of course my daughter, who really believes she is a fairy was stamped with Pixie Poppy. The images were colored with Copics and cut out. The glittery silver ribbon was added with 3 heart brads to give the layout that added magical touch.

I love this card…makes me wish my grandmas were still here.

Thao’s ability of adding such sweetness through color is simply wonderful. I love the soft pink pig and that she went around the entire image with the faintest of blue markers. The background papers are very unexpected – pairing a plaid with a floral and just for fun throwing in what looks like sweater texture on the light blue.

This card is adorable with a capital “A”!
