Some years “another birthday” does feel just like this. Georgia created the screen and stamped Katie kitty hangin’ on. Love the use of the background texture, black framing and the silver buttons

This “activity” is actually what inspired the original drawing. There really was a Katie kitty and if I wasn’t paying attention and she wanted in I would sometimes find her half way up the screen door!

Georgia created this cute card using the saluting kids from Maple Lane. She stamped them on white cardstock and then colored them in adding shadows and details. I love her use of primary colors and the fact that she mimicked the polka dots of the red ribbon in the shirts and leggings of the girls.

Georgia said she used to be afraid of mixing papers. I’m so glad to hear that she’s worked through her fears. :) There’s so much going on in this card, yet it all works beautifully!

Georgia says she was reading through Paper Crafts magazine and there was a suggestion – pull out a multi-colored focus paper and then use it as your color guide for pulling in other papers. Funny how crafts overlap because that’s exactly what I do in the quilting world too. It’s a sure way to make sure things go together. Great tip Georgia!

Frankin Fairy never looked so good! I love Georgia’s use of orange and black with a little pop of purple. That and I like that she cut Frank out and floated him on the card.

She said her inspiration came while she started to thumb through a Paper Crafts magazine. Her eyes landed on the picture of the card called Blue Skies & Sunny Days by Stephanie Halinski. Great job!

Oh wouldn’t you just love to receive a thank you note like this! I love Georgia’s use of orange (it’s one of my favorite colors). I think the fancy left border is so effective and a cheery little polka-dot bow to finish it off – wonderful.

georgia10-flopsyclipGeorgia decided to do something a little different and created this cute bookmark using Flopsy and a giant paper clip.

She was at Walmart awhile back – a store for which she says she has a “love-hate” relationship. :) She found these giant paperclips on clearance and purchased some.

Ta-da! Who wouldn’t want Flopsy keeping track of what page you’re on, peeking out of the top to say hi.

Georgia’s made yet another TOO cute card! I love her color choices – the bright yellow-orange, the hot pink background and her signature lime green ribbon.

This is actually one of my favorite stamps – a little sketch I did from a long ago memory. I had a St. Bernard growing up and we shared everything, she was my best friend and constant companion. I always think of her when I see this stamp.

Thanks Georgia for making it into such a wonderful card.

Georgia’s in the holiday spirit again. This time she used Billy and Sparky looking out the window. Again I love the black framing she’s done, just really makes the image pop out. And I simply must go to the craft store and get some lime green grosgrain ribbon! I love the added red jingle bell. Wonderful card Georgia!

Georgia sent in these little tags she made using just one stamp. Again she used her signature lime green ribbon (I must find my craft store coupon!). I love that she not only included it as the tag tie, but how clever to include it as the train tracks. The blue train against a polka dot sky – too cute for words!

Scooter’s all decked out in his swimming attire, but I think he needs a bigger pool.  Georgia created this wonderful card using bright cheery primary colors – red gingham and polka-dot bows, blue water and buttons, and Scooter’s accouterments in eye popping yellow. I love the the tri-fold card, and how clever she was to use the buttons to keep the front of the card in place.

She said that her doggy is always ready for action and would probably love to join Scooter. Definitely going to need a bigger puddle. :)

Who wouldn’t want Christmas in March with this card! Georgia said while everyone’s making spring and Easter she decided to be different. I love the red backgrounds and the black border just makes everything look so crisp. The little addition of lime green ribbon, just the right finishing touch.

mouseA little side note, when I drew this image it was actually inspired by our cat, Mouse. She showed up on our doorstep and was so sweet. She actually nuzzled up to, at the time, our two big dogs (both over 100 pounds). My husband immediately knew she was here to stay.

Over the years she’s gotten quite grumpy (I’m sure it’s nothing to do with the other three cats that are now here as well), so Paw Humbug is her to a T.

Flopsy’s got a bunch of eggs and his very own basket to hold them all! This great project is by DT Member Georgia. She found a basket tutorial on the Whimsie Doodles blog. Georgia said Flopsy’s in chocolate egg heaven and he’s probably not going to leave for quite some time. I certainly wouldn’t either. :)

Flopsy’s got an egg – a very LARGE egg and Georgia, the Design Team Member who created this adorable card, says it MUST be filled with chocolate – YUM! It’s also a very fancy egg in that it was made using the same great paper she used in the background of the card.

Another wonderful project by Design Team Member Georgia. She created this cute St. Patty’s Day card using Herbert Mouse – doesn’t he look so dapper in his suit amongst the clover! Georgia said she’s a wee bit Irish and that if you ever get a chance to go to Ireland you simply must kiss the Blarney Stone. Smooch!

Yeah! The very first Design Team project is in! This one is by Georgia and it’s just darling. She altered a tin to create a Tooth Fairy Box. The sparkle on little Pixie Poppy’s dress was created using a Spica glitter pen by Copic. Too cute!
