I think this card is so happy. Alex put fairy wings on Gertie! I love all the purple- frames and text. She even added little white highlights on the letters.

I think Gertie probably loves her sparkly fairy wings. I’m sure she can fly. :)

Here’s a sweet card from Alex. I just love the die cut she used – it works so well with little Pixie Poppy.

Here’s what Alex wrote:
I used only the word “Believe ” from the “Magic of Christmas ” saying. I often use only one word from sayings, when I think it is perfect for a card. The whole card is full of glitter, but it’s a little hard to see in the photo.

The reason why I had stamped this card is that I had a little conservation with my youngest daughter. She told me, that a girl told her that fairies do not exist. I said that Fairies exist, but you must believe in fairies. She was happy and stopped crying. The next day at school, she goes to the girl and said to her:  ” It is sad that you do not believe in fairies, because then you miss something in your life. I’m so sorry for you. “

I thought Alex gave her daughter the most perfect answer. :)

Lynne Jardine happy birthday fairy

Lynne says, “So, what’s better than one sweet fairy? Yip, a whole page of them ;)” I couldn’t agree more! I think this is so adorable and it’s made stamping just one little fairy stamp over and over again. I love the little dots she added in the background – they make the fairies look like they are flittering about.

Lynne writes:
I coloured my Little Sylvies with watercolour pencils and then added Wink of Stella and some clear gloss to their wings. I then dotted my pale blue copic markers round the fairies to colour the background a bit. Pink and silver sequins from my stash.

Alex Menzlewski bibbity bobbity

Here’s a magical card from Alex Menzlewski! Bibbity Bobbity Boo! Little Pixie Poppy is adding sparkle everywhere! I just love Alex’s choice of bright colors – I love hot pink and lime green as Christmas colors – not that this card couldn’t be used anytime of the year. And all that sparkly glitter – it’s just everywhere and is soooo cheery.

tanya-cupcake fairy  Tanya created this oh so fun birthday card for her daughter – she said that her daughter loved it! Isn’t it just yummy. I love all that’s going on in the background – the different patterns and colors. The little fairy looks like she’s going to give the frosting just a tiny little taste.  I love that her dress and the cupcake frosting are the same. Her wings are oh so lovely too – the way she gradated them from dark to light and added just a little big of sparkle.

tanya-tooth page

We’re taking a little Christmas detour today featuring Tanya next book page.  She says “It is a tribute to all the loose teeth in our home over the last couple of years.”

Tanya writes:
I stamped Fairy Blossom as the tooth fairy in gold then stamped over in black.  It gives a bit of a blurry effect, as I wanted to leave her a bit of a mystery.  As is the real Tooth Fairy!

I put a tooth holder on this page, and a toothbrush and toothpaste charm.  The Background images are from Flow magazine, they always put tags and such in their magazines for us to use, so I used the building ones to make it look like Blossom was flying over the roof tops.

Isn’t this just wonderful! The little clouds, stars and houses. And my goodness that tooth!!

In totally Tanya style she’s created this layer upon layer birthday card! Tanya says its not your usual card but I think that’s what makes it so great.

Here’s what Tanya writes about what she did:
I used scrap paper to make this card up. Paper that had a punch hole, and sewing and taping scraps together. The result was this card. The Happy Birthday is on the vertical, underneath the twine. It is not your usual card, but I like the way it came together. I know Pixie Poppy should have been red, but I saw her hat as a snap dragon, and I figured that she could die her dress green, to blend in with the garden.  LOL.

tanya-circle card
Here’s a very cheery card from Tanya. I love the orange background and the scallops – a perfect setting for all of her elements. I love how she colored Fairy Blossom’s dress going from dark to light. And Ms. Sunshine with her orange eyeshadow, oh so warm and wonderful. She added just a little bling with her crystals and fancy string.

Tanya said “I left it without sentiment, as it can be used for a variety of occasions.  Even a cheer me up kind of card.  This one was rather simple, the design paper and the die cuts, with the stamps all seemed to “happen”.”

tanya rudd - fairy house front tanya rudd - fairy house backLook at this treat that Tanya sent in! What a WONDERFUL little house!!

Tanya says…
“I took out my punches and dies for this one. I used the mini milk carton die for the base of the house and then cut a rectangular piece, trimmed the edges and folded it for the roof. Before assembling the two, I stamped the flowers on them, and then colored them in with my pencils. The kraft paper really makes the colors POP! I then put the pieces together, and made a door with my oval punch, and put some die cut twigs and charms on the front.

To tie is all together I have Fairy Nuff on the roof. She is removable, as is the roof so you can hide many hidden fairy treasures in the box!”

I don’t think anyone has ever sent in a little house project before. Such a treat indeed.

tanya rudd - i believe in fairiesTanya is pulling out her fairy stamps again. This time she made this wonderfully embellished card. I love all the layers she’s chosen, the little ribbon on top with the pearl pin, the 3-D flower on the bottom. I’d say there were beautiful flowers everywhere! I also love how she placed the star from the flower stamp right at Fairy Nuff’s hand.

Here’s what Tanya did…
I stamped the flower images on top of pattern paper, you can see it showing through the flowers.  It was a spur of the moment idea, and I rather like the way it turned out.  I then stamped Fairy Nuff out and colored her with my pencils, doing the same for some of the flowers.  They were added afterwards to add some dimension to the card.

She also writes…”To me this is a magical card. My girls LOVE fairies, and they always ask me if I believe in them.  I always answer “If I don’t believe in fairies, then it is like not believing in the magic, and what is life without a little magic.”
