barbara-sunshine-smBarb found the perfect sentiment for this stamp – hello sunshine indeed. I think with all the website “happenings” (and more to come) lately “hello sunshine” is something I need. :)

Barb did a lovely job with her layers – cutting out the stamped image and then layering a piece under the curtain with scallops. Using the same pink as the scallops on the little girls shirt really ties things together. Cute!!

barbara-mom-smThere’s something about the color combination of hot pink with black and white that I really love. I think Barb did a great job with this card. She used her Copic markers to add color impact to the flowers. I love the scallops and the fact that she embossed the hot pink background. The addition of a big black bow makes the card feel really special.

barb-cupcakes2-smUsing a single stamp Barb really made a card with impact. She found the perfect background paper covered in cupcakes! Yum indeed. I love all her layers and the way she framed the saying with orange and the rest with tan. Adding the finishing touch of the chocolate ribbon is the icing on the cupcake.

barbara-happybirthday-smBarb did a great job with this birthday card. I think it shows that by simply using one stamp over and over again you can really make a big statement. Her layers and color choices are terrific – the pop of orange really makes the card. Tying it off with a piece of colored twine just finishes it perfectly.

barb-oliver-smBarb sent in this lovely little card featuring Oliver pup. She said it looked like he was doing a “high five” which is something her grand-doggies can do. Pretty cute! I actually taught our little dog Squeaky to do that – something kind of silly seeing a little chihuahua with his front paw in the air. Anyway, I digress.

I love her use of all the patterned papers (my favorite colors are orange and lime green Barb, how’d you know). :)  I think the little piece of twine around the striped paper is so cute. I also like that see cut Oliver pup out, so his tail is sticking up in the border. Very cute!

Well I apologize for the absence of new postings. It’s not because the design team hasn’t been hard at work but because the person that writes the posts, me, has had the flu! I feel like I’m back to the land of the living and can finally catch up on all the wonderful things they’ve been creating.

So without further delay, here’s a yummy card from Barb.

Barb started with a sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping. And said that one of her great nieces decided she wanted to learn how to bake and decorate cupcakes this year so she’s sending this card to her. I love the embossed background dots – but then again, I LOVE polka-dots of all sorts. I also love the unconventional colors she chose for the cupcakes. To top it all off she add a little bit of bling.
Any way you look at it these are yummy yummy yummy!
