Merry Everything
Filed Under DT: Annie F., Holiday: Christmas | 1 Comment

Isn’t this cute! Can’t you just see the ornaments hanging from your Christmas tree?
Annie came up with this great idea. She used a punch and then colored in the ornaments using Copic markers. She drew the tree branches so she could make them whatever length she needed.

Pizza delivery
Filed Under DT: Annie F., People | Leave a Comment

As we begin the holiday season, the one thing that seems to be in very short supply is…time.
With that in mind, Annie pulled out her Copic markers and created this great little card to remind us that pizza delivery is just a phone call away!!

Flowers and a wee bunny
Filed Under Animals, DT: Annie F., Spring | 1 Comment
Annie’s was busy making cards again, this time flowers are sproutin’ big!
She said that the flowers are stamps from Purple Onion Designs (one of my favorite places). They were actually painted with Ranger Dabbers and then cut out and stacked. If you’ve never heard of Dabbers they are acrylic paint in squeeze bottles with a sponge at the end. You can just dab-dab-dab the paint onto whatever you’re working on.
I just love those huge flowers. I guess that makes Binkley a very wee bunny. :)

Dog believes
Filed Under DT: Annie F., Dogs | 2 Comments
I really love this sentiment. Even if the whole world goes crazy at times, your dog doesn’t care. They just know that you’re the best person ever.
I think Annie captured a lovely moment – a happy dog and all those wonderful flowers. How can you be anything but cheery with this card.
She said that she was inspired by a class she took using Adirondack paint dabbers. I myself just got a bunch of them and am dabbing anything that holds still! :)
The background is painted using a dabber on the stamp and then it was stamped on painted cardstock. The button is also painted (no more searching for the right one – just paint it). She added some Glimmer Glaze (Tattered Angels) to the flowers and the dog was colored in using Copics.

Wrinkles don’t hurt
Filed Under DT: Annie F., People, Summer | 2 Comments
Annie’s been stamping again! She sent in this happy card using Aunt Daisy running through the grass. I think sunshine and happiness are good for the soul. And running through a field of flowers that happy has got to push the wrinkles away! Now if you’ll excuse me I think I need to run through the grass a bit. :)
Annie said she sponged the background using dye inks and colored things in using Copic markers. She added some glitter to the flowers so they’d sparkle a bit in the sunshine.

Don’t go gettin’ your panties in a wad
Filed Under Animals, DT: Annie F. | 4 Comments
This cute card was sent in by Annie. Her colors are so fresh, from the paper she chose – polka dots and the teal-green to the bright yellow goose.
The phrase stamp she added is perfect too. Sometimes I need to remind myself not to get my undies in a twist and to just stop to smell the roses. :)

Summertime please hurry
Filed Under DT: Annie F., Nature, People, Summer | 1 Comment
Annie sent in this cute little summertime card! The water looks so refreshing and little Lilly is ready to jump in!
Annie said she used Copics to color everything in. She actually used Copic ink on a rough washcloth and dabbed it on the hills to give them a little texture. Pretty cool technique. Oh…and she drew the hills and the little trees herself.

Just a little note
Filed Under DT: Annie F., Just because, People | 1 Comment
Today I’m posting “Just a little note” fromĀ Annie. I suppose like Hallmark says “when you care enough to send the very best”, say it with a cranky grandma and blah blah blah. Hee hee.
Annie said she colored everything in with Copics and used glossy accents on granny’s glasses. She also added a small rhinestone on the flower brooch on her sweater.
I also wanted to add a little note here, please forgive my tardiness! I had written a bunch of posts but saved them as drafts and never set them to publish – where was my mind! Hopefully it’s come back now.

Today I’m posting two cards from Annie. It looks like with a little dash of pixie dust and a spot of sunshine she’s growing little sprouts!
I never would have thought of putting little fairy Sprout in the flower pot, but I guess that’s where sprouts go. :) Very clever idea Annie!

Annie made this cute little card – a nice “just because”, don’t you think.
Pitter dog’s tail wags as he eyes the little inchworm Annie drew. I think her choice of muted colors is very nice and the polka dot ribbon adds just the right finishing touch.

All ya need is love…ok well maybe that and some cookies. :)
Annie sent in this card and I thought it was too cute – all the little hearts floating around a loveable bear. Annie, being the artist she is, drew the big red heart and then punched out the little ones. This card is sure to let someone know that you love them.

Smile
Filed Under DT: Annie F. | 2 Comments

Annie paired the single sentiment “smile” with the perfect smiling kitty. I suppose he’s smiling because he’s got the whole chair to himself! Whatever the reason this is a fun, anytime-you-need-a-little card to send project.
Now if you’ll excuse me I need to find my Fur Fighter to pick up all the hair I know kitty is going to leave behind!

Seasonal calendar
Filed Under Bears, DT: Annie F., Other projects | 2 Comments
This great project was sent in by Annie. If you’ve ever needed a calendar but maybe didn’t want to stamp every month this is a great alternative.
Annie decided to stamp 4 scenes, one for each season. What I thought was clever was her use of materials you could probably find at the local office supply.
She started with one of those acrylic frames used to hold pictures (or whatever). She slipped a piece of blue paper inside the frame. She used a binder clip to secure the stamped seasonal picture to the frame so it could be easily changed. Lastly, she used pre-printed small calendar for the months that’s attached to the frame.
Such a clever project!
