shari-moms-dayThis was sent in by Shari, a wonderful previous design team member. I love the simplicity of this card and the way she added the shadow underneath to ground the image. Her choice of colors is oh so sweet.

I hope you all have a lovely Mom’s Day.

Shari - Take time to chase snowflakes

Shari’s created the cutest winter card! Here’s Paisley-Jane hanging on to a snowflake. I love the layered half-circle background. And those snowflakes – I immediately had to write and ask what she used. It’s a die from “Joy Crafts – Ice Crystal 3”. I just have to have one for myself. :) Her coloring is always wonderful – the shading and the colors she chooses.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Shari - if the broom fits

Here’s another wonderful card from Shari. Again she uses a bright full moon for her background. I think the pumpkins giggling in the foreground are just great. Although I hope they aren’t laughing at Griselda otherwise I see pumpkin pie in her immediate future. Thanks again Shari!

And to everyone, have a Happy, Happy Halloween!

Shari - Creatures were stirring

Shari sent this wonderful card in featuring things that fly in the night other than witches. Her background with the big moon is just wonderful. Hank, Frisky and Crumbs look like they’re out having a great ol’ time in the light of the full moon. Even though the sentiment was actually released in a Christmas supplement, I just love that she found a perfect way to use on this card.

Shari - Trick or Treat wrapper

Shari was getting creative! She said this was a candy wrapper, but she hadn’t had a chance to get any candy yet. That might be considered a good thing since I don’t know about you, but any candy around my house has a way of not last very long – if it even makes it in the door at all. Yum.

I love the way she colored the backgrounds in each tiny rectangle – it really makes all the little characters pop – especially the ghost. Thanks Shari!

shari-butterflyButterflies do rule! Just look at those wings! Shari used the big butterfly with it’s beautiful wings in the background and then placed the little girl on top. When I drew the little girl and gave her a little pair of wings I knew that really the wings Shari used are the ones she dreamed she was wearing.

Shari sent a close up as well – do take a peek as you can really see all the sparkle she used.shari-butterfly-detail

shari-hugWouldn’t you just love to receive a hug by mail. This card does just that. Shari sent this in. She does such a wonderful job with coloring and shading. She also said this is such a sweet image showing the unconditional love between a child and her pets.

Cowabunga is right! Shari created this cute-as-can-be tri-fold card awhile back. It takes a little planning knowing where your images would fall, but I think its well worth it. I also hope kitty knows what he’s jumping into because I see water in his immediate future!

shari-abundanceShari sent this in and it’s just so lovely. Using just one stamp and oodles of embellishments this card is certainly an abundance of sweetness. I love her layers and sweet colors.

Next up, here’s Shari using the three little birdie stamps.

Isn’t this the sweetest. The little delicate wreath is a die from Memory Box. She cut out the little birds and placed them around, using other dies for the green foliage. She topped it off with flowers, buttons and a cute little saying.
