kelly-to the world

Here’s a wonderful card from Kelly. She used just one stamp, framed it with black and placed on the vibrant red background. Sometimes I stay away from red because its such a powerful color, but this works so well I just might pull out some red paper! I love her coloring and giving the little dog spots. She topped it off with a great big purple bow – just great!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Here’s a fun card made by Kelly! She’s gone all out with her layering of papers and stitching. Witch Gertrude and her very fancy sparkly dress top the card off and the white outline really adds some punch. I love that she cut out the sign and added the little pole that fits perfectly in Gertrude’s hands. Great card.

What a great card from Kelly! Don’t you just love that huge yellow moon! And the shadow of the tree is just great! She stamped and cut out the little trick-or-treaters – rearranging them ever so slightly so they can all stand on a straight sidewalk. I love the way the little word bubbles are outlined with black so they stand out as well.

Such a fun card from Kelly! I love all the circles – the big one surrounded by purple she put Frank in and the bright orange one containing her sentiment. The color scheme is just perfect for a cheery halloween. Be sure to click on the card to see a bigger view!

Isn’t this just grand! Kelly sent this in and says it’s called a “waterfall” card. You pull the piece with the ribbon and each crow flips over revealing the next. She chose a monochromatic scheme which I love! Each of the crows is stamped and then cut out in the little square frames. She added a scribble border for each. Love it! Kelly says she’s not sure why, but turning 40 was much harder than turning 50. I might have to agree as the 50 year mark gets closer and closer. :)

If for any reason it doesn’t show up automatically in the page you can find the YouTube video tutorial here.

Here are close ups of all the little flipped squares.

kelly-magnets-allKelly sent this project in – fridge magnets! She chose three stamps and said she used magnet sheets from the venting section of Lowe’s.  She adhered the completed image to the magnet sheet and fussy cut the images out. Now that’s thinking while walking down the aisle of the home improvement store. What a great addition to the fridge!

This card from Kelly makes me want to go somewhere! Starting with the perfect sentiment, I think this is where she must have gotten her inspiration for the theme and color. I love all the layers and wonkiness in which she placed everything. Adding Lewis and Trudy in the white square with her scribble line border and shadow under the car is great. Now lets be off on a grand adventure, shall we.

Here’s a close-up showing the car with it’s Glossy Accents finish.

An oh so fun card made by Kelly. I love all the orange! She’s got loads of layers going on here. I love her faux photo frames and the fact that the image actually goes just a little outside the border. Kelly says that “Mom has Wink of Stella on her sunglasses and Dad has Wink of Stella on his pool toy.  I also paper pieced Dad’s shirt.” She also says that she’s been counting the days until summer vacation since THANKSGIVING! :)

kelly-card in box frontThis wonderful card-in-a-box was sent in by Kelly. She said that it was her first attempt. Wow. She wanted to create a birthday scene and I think she did an outstanding job!

The entire card actually folds flat or mailing and that many of the stamped images are mounted on clear plastic. Wouldn’t it be fun to receive this in the mail!!

kelly clark - teddy frameKelly sent in a picture of her dog Teddy. Woof. She used a simple picture frame and added Teddy’s photo, a little card with an absolutely wonderful sentiment and a little cutout of Webster dog. Oh so sweet. I’m sure Teddy must love his picture!
