New Design Team!!

Well FINALLY it’s here – the new design team. As always it was very hard to choose. I love to see what everyone submits, but choosing…oh my goodness, not something I relish in doing because I want EVERYONE!

New Images and Design Team Call

Hi Everyone.

I’m posting this here just in case some of you didn’t get my Eat Cake Graphics Newsletter.

The news – I FINALLY have some new images. :) You can visit my website www.eatcakegraphics.com and click on What’s New.

DESIGN TEAM CALL
I’m looking for 4-5 creative people who’d like to be part of an Eat Cake Graphics Design Team.

WHAT YOU GET

  1. A $30 a month credit towards Eat Cake Graphics rubber stamps (not good towards supplies or quilt patterns)
  2. Free shipping once a month

WHAT I’D LIKE EACH MONTH

  1. I’d like 2 to 3 projects – either cards or other types of projects, I’m pretty open. I’d prefer a mix of simple and a bit more complex.
  2. You must use an Eat Cake Graphics image as the main part of your project. I don’t mind if you use other stamps in your projects, but the purpose of this Design Team is to promote Eat Cake Graphics’ stamps. :)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. The ability to either take good quality photos OR if you can’t take photos I will need the projects so I can photograph them (I can certainly return them once I’m done, you just have to let me know)
  2. I’d prefer that you have a blog or belong to some sort of stamping forum so that you can post your monthly projects
  3. Promote Eat Cake Graphics Design Team (I can provide a little graphic badge for your blog)
  4. You’d be signing up for a 4 month commitment

IF YOU’RE INTERESTED, PLEASE SEND ME (HOLLY)…

  1. An email with your name and a wee bit about yourself
  2. A link to your blog if you have one
  3. Pictures of a few projects you’ve created (small file sizes preferred).

The deadline for submission is December 8th. I’ll announce the team shortly thereafter.

I’d also very much like to thank all the past members – I was always thrilled when I’d get emails from you!! Thank you for sharing all of your creativity.

A reprieve

The good news – my website is back up, the bad news, it’s only a reprieve. Just like computers it’s only so long until you have to upgrade to the latest version. I’ve been putting it off and can’t any longer.

In the meantime, I have quite a few cards to post and will start doing that over the weekend – yeah!

New Design Team

I think this is the best and worst part of having a rubber stamp business – best because I get so see so many talented people and hear about who they are and what they do, but the worst because I have to actually choose.

I want to say thank you so very much to everyone for putting yourselves out there and submitting. Please know, that I would loved to have chosen you all but unfortunately I can’t. Choosing a design team is ongoing, so please, if you didn’t get chosen this time, there is always the next design team call around the corner.

In the meantime I thought I’d post a Halloween card I made using some of my new Halloween stamps.

The fence in the background is a Martha Stewart punch. I punched it out of gray cardstock, added a bit of color by dabbing black and silver ink and then sanded it just a little. The black and gray flowers are also from a Martha Stewart punch – I believe it’s the hydrangea punch (has 3 flowers on it). I found the little spider crystals at a scrapbook store, but you could certainly make them using black stick-on crystals and then drawing some legs. Oh, and I added a wee bit of stitching around the edge by first punching holes and then sewing with some dark gray embroidery floss.

Hi All.

Well…I’ve sent out emails to those I’ve asked to be on the next Design Team. I’m just waiting to hear back from all of them – want to make sure they still want to. :)

I want to thank everyone who sent in submissions – it was such a hard choice! I love seeing what people create and I wish I could have said yes to you all – unfortunately I’d go broke if I did.
