Did someone say cake!?! card
Isn’t this just the cutest little birthday card. Great customer Stacy sent this to me and I just had to post it. She said she just loves these images and never tires of using them.

I just love the all the little scallops she used to frame Cupcake the dog and the sentiment. And the party hat paper – it looks like it was just made for Cupcake. :)

Thanks so much Stacy for sharing your work.

I really love the Magical Flowers stamp. It’s not only pretty, but of course there’s a bit of whimsy in the floating leaves, stars and butterfly. For this card I stamped the flowers twice – once on the card and then another on a separate piece of cardstock so I could add some dimension by cutting out the flowers. I stamped Callie on a separate piece of paper too and propped her up on dimensional dots – just like the flowers – so that she would stand out.

I really like playing around with texture – especially where backgrounds are concerned. I added some splashes in the background and actually used a stencil and carefully watercolored the dots through it. Here’s a closeup.

Post 6: Don’tcha just love to be silly ever now and again (and maybe even more). For me this page reminds me that life is serious enough and that laughing or doing something silly breaks up all that seriousness.

For this last page I stuck with my circle stencil again. My favorite kind of clouds are those randomly cut from pieces of book paper. A little shading of color, some black pen work and then white scribbles on top. I also love adding little banners. They are just so cheery. For this one I cut little bits of this and that, used a pen to define everything and then added a bit of Glossy Accents for shine.

I hope you all find what makes you happy and try to incorporate it daily.

Post 5: I love the crispness of winter. For me it evokes the winding down of the year, being inside a little more, snuggling under blankets and fires in the fireplace. I know it’s a bit early to be thinking about, but it does make me happy.

Post 4: Summer’s can be hot – and I don’t like hot. :) But there’s nothing better than a cool breeze wafting through the leaves on the trees, bringing the smell of fresh cut grass or just the stirring of all that is summer. It makes me so happy.
