Holly-Lake-Slider

Have you ever made a slider card? I went to the scrapbook store and they had these new slider die cuts from Lawn Fawn. The set comes with a few dies and they are just the right size to create a no-fuss card.

I hope you don’t get tired of the lake images, but they are some of my favorites. I stamped the Lake Shoreline on the background card. I stamped the Boat House and then cut part of  it out. I used the slider die and with double stick foam tape put the card together.

This is the first time I’ve taken and posted a video from my iPhone. I’m hoping that it works for everyone. :)

And here’s the Lawn Fawn YouTube video showing the actual dies:

Lynne Jardine Sadie Goose

Here’s a sweet little card of Thanks made by Lynne. I just love the simplicity – just little Sadie goose stamped and cut out and a simple “thanks”. I love the background stencil and Lynne’s addition of a few sparkly sequins. Oh so sweet.

Here’s a card I made for my mom. I was trying my watercolors again – I just can’t help myself, they are so much fun. I stamped the row of trees a few times to fill the entire card. I water colored them in and added a little wash of green for the ground. I stamped the doggy and in a circle and added a little bit of text. I also decided to add a little “texture” to the background – a few clouds, some text, a few little things and a little washi tape. I got out the sewing machine once again and used it for the circle around the dog. I know I’ll be using this technique some more.

I know I haven’t written in quite a bit – I do have a few cards in my queue to post but life has been so busy. I hope this post comes out the same as my old ones, I’m trying a new app and using my iPad – seems to be a little easier than sitting in front of my computer.

I thought I would share this little card I made for my husband- we celebrated our 20th anniversary. Gosh, how time flies! He loves camping and the outdoors so I decided to use the Lake shoreline stamp. The card is a little long, so I actually stamped it once in the center and then stamped part of it on each side of the card. I used my watercolors to color everything in. I love adding a little texture to the background by lightly stamping text and dots and whatnot. I used a little bit of washi tape and got out my sewing machine added some stitching around the edge. He loved it. :)
