Shari - Take time to chase snowflakes

Shari’s created the cutest winter card! Here’s Paisley-Jane hanging on to a snowflake. I love the layered half-circle background. And those snowflakes – I immediately had to write and ask what she used. It’s a die from “Joy Crafts – Ice Crystal 3”. I just have to have one for myself. :) Her coloring is always wonderful – the shading and the colors she chooses.

Thanks so much for sharing!

The Colors of Fall

Outside it was a little gray, the leaves were rustling and the air was crisp. I thought it was the perfect time to post a fall card. I love these flowers and the little squirrel peeking out at the bottom.

  1. For this project I started with card size tag. I stamped the flowers in black archival ink and used watercolored pencils (Derwent Inktense) to color it in.
  2. I had a little stencil and used some Distress Ink (Tim Holtz – Ranger) and randomly inked over it. Then I inked over the edges a bit more. I randomly stamped the baby’s breath stamp in the same ink – I really like the added texture (and this is now my go-to texture stamp it seems).
  3. I stamped the sentiment on the same tag cardstock and cut it out. I cut out a larger rectangle in a burnt orange cardstock and the little swirl (Memory Box).
  4. I glued everything on the card and added some details with glitter and other dots. Oh, I did add a little extra line of grass at the bottom – the stamp comes with a little bit but not that much.

Happy Fall everyone!

Oh poor Frisky kitty! Marilyn sent this very fun card in. I love the big circle giving kitty center stage. Once again she’s outdone herself with layering dark and light to make things pop. Great job!!

A very batty card from Marilyn. I love all the framing she’s done with orange and black paper. Not to mention that perfect saying topped off with just the right amount of black sparkle.

I got a very nice customer email from Shellie Nelson, sharing some of her creations. She’s been one busy gal making all the Halloween cards. I know it’s the day after Halloween but I thought you all wouldn’t mind seeing some more fun cards.

And here are two versions of the same card – I just love how she made the kids peeking around the corner a flap that opens up to reveal another little message.

Thanks so very much Shellie!
