Beate sent in this cute winter scene. Isn’t it just fun! She said that she thought Elsa (the St. Bernard) offered some inspiration. Her face looks like she’s a bit astonished and I suppose who wouldn’t be if you saw a little snow race with an actual penguin going on.

Such a cute card.

Here’s another card using the little birdies! This one was sent in by Sheri. The snowflakes background, rolling hills and snow are just the perfect touches.

I sent each of the design team members these three little birds and asked if they’d create something. Here’s Shari’s little birdie card. It’s so cute with the little blue birds!

I think this is the first time I’ve posted a journal page from a design team member. Christy sent this in and I thought it was just terrific! Journaling is everywhere these days – I for one love creating pages and hope to post some too. I thought it was lovely post to save for Valentines because it is a day for counting blessings and those that love us.

Here’s what Christy writes about how she created her page: Using a discarded book from the thrift store has made the perfect foundation for creating meaningful art journal layouts.  The textured background and floral background paper created a mini garden for reflecting on my many blessings.  Title words were cut and given a 3D look by using foam squares and braided embroidery floss was perfect to dangle the fairy images.  This is a charming whimsical layout.

Shari sent this in and I just love all the layers and embossing! The colors she chose – the brightness of Ethan and Oliver pup and the softness of the snow work so beautifully. She said the paper came from We R Memory Keepers – Winter Frost. She also mounted the image on an action wobbler so it actually wiggles and jiggles just as if they were saucering down a real snowy hill.

Estella (Sandee’s Stamps) is at it again – I just love getting her emails. This time she’s used a stamp that was released as a Christmas stamp but the way she’s put this card together and the colors she’s chosen means it could be an “anytime” card. I just love the little scallops and the pop of blue she used. And how did she know I have a special place in my heart for orange kitties.=^..^=

kelly-snowman-assembledA wonderful Valentine’s card from Kelly. This little snowman is so cute holding a little “be my valentine” banner. Kelly does such a great job with embellishments – from the snowflakes and hearts to the little string holding the banner flags.

On a little side note, there’s a song titled “I Melt with You”. The version I love was actually on a GMC Acadia car commercial and was done by Nouvelle Vague. I told my husband I wanted the car just because of the commercial – good grief, talk about advertising at it’s best. Oh, I couldn’t afford the car, but I could afford the song on iTunes. :)
