celine-penelope-smCeline said, “When I saw Penelope and Percy flying, I knew I wanted to transform the helicopter and create an underwater scene.  I stamped the image, cut it apart and rearranged the pieces, then drew mock-ups of where the bubbles would go.  Eventually I figured out a way to print the bubbles directly onto the watercolored background.  Seaweed was stamped onto the background and colored using Tombow markers.  The school of fish was stamped separately onto scrapbook paper that I had coated with a thin layer of gesso.  Orange details were added with markers, and each fish was cut out and glued to the card.    Penelope and Percy were stamped separately, colored with Prismacolors and glued into place.  Finally, the fish eyes were painted white to make them stand out.”

Cute cute cute! I love her clever idea of transforming the stamp!

    This just has to be the most ingenious way I’ve ever seen anybody use a stamp. WOW! Great work Celine!
