Isn’t this the cutest little thank you card. Celine sent this in. I love the curling words following behind little Crumbs in his paper airplane.
Here’s what Celine wrote
“Crumbs the mouse was the inspiration for this card. I knew I wanted to depict him zipping away with a greeting of some sort trailing behind him. My first inclination was to position him buzzing through the treetops, but changed my mind when I put him next to Callie the dog. After settling on those two images, the rest fell into place easily.
I used a speckled cardstock (Paper Cut’s “Milkweed”) for the base. I used Photoshop to draw the steps, door, and siding for the house, and Inkscape to create the spiral “Thank You!” sentiment. These were printed directly onto the cardstock.
I used Prismacolors to color the house, door, and steps and then stamped Crumbs and Callie onto bright white cardstock, colored and cut them out. I stamped “Kitties in the Window” directly onto the cardstock, and colored them with Prisma Colors. I stamped the kitties again onto brown cardstock and cut out just the window frame. I glued everything down, and highlighted the sentiment with yellow to make it stand out a bit more. I drew the grass in by hand, then added shadows and more color with Prismacolors.”
