penguinHi Everyone.

For those in the U.S. I hope you had a wonderful (and yummy) Thanksgiving. I think I’m still a bit full – and I brought home a tin full of cookies my mom made – not helping my waistline!

On to why I’m posting…I’d really like to start looking for 5 members to be part of the next Eat Cake Graphics Design Team. If you might be interested please read on.

WHAT YOU GET

  1. A $30 a month credit towards Eat Cake Graphics rubber stamps (not good towards supplies or quilt patterns)
  2. Free shipping once a month

WHAT I’D LIKE EACH MONTH

  1. I’d like 2 to 3 projects – either cards or other types of projects, I’m pretty open. I’d prefer a mix of simple and a bit more complex.
  2. You must use an Eat Cake Graphics image as the main part of your project. I don’t mind if you use other stamps in your projects, but the purpose of this Design Team is to promote Eat Cake Graphics’ stamps.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. The ability to either take good quality photos OR if you can’t take photos I will need the projects so I can photograph them (I can certainly return them once I’m done, you just have to let me know)
  2. I’d prefer that you have a blog or belong to some sort of stamping forum so that you can post your monthly projects
  3. Promote Eat Cake Graphics Design Team (I can provide a little graphic badge for your blog)
  4. You’d be signing up for a 4 month commitment

IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN, PLEASE SEND ME (HOLLY)…

  1. An email with your name and a wee bit about yourself
  2. A link to your blog if you have one
  3. Pictures of a few projects you’ve created

The deadline for submission is the end of December.
I’ll announce the team right after the new year, January 2nd.

I’d also very much like to thank all the past members! I was always excited to receive emails with new projects – it was like Christmas all the time! Thank you.

Well I think I’m already on pins-and-needles just thinking about this. I look forward to hearing from you. And if you have any questions just let me know, holly@eatcakegraphics.com.

Isn’t this cute! Can’t you just see the ornaments hanging from your Christmas tree?

Annie came up with this great idea. She used a punch and then colored in the ornaments using Copic markers. She drew the tree branches so she could make them whatever length she needed.

As we begin the holiday season, the one thing that seems to be in very short supply is…time.

With that in mind, Annie pulled out her Copic markers and created this great little card to remind us that pizza delivery is just a phone call away!!

holly-happyturkeyday-smI thought I would start off the month of November by posting a Thanksgiving card.

I just got the Autumn Gatherings die that Tim Holtz came out with. On one die you get all the leaves, twigs and I think the light yellow is wheat. Pretty cool. holly-happyturkeyday-detail-sm

I cut all of the pieces out and then glued them around the card. I only used dabs of glue so they would stand out. I stamped Happy Turkey Day on a piece of ledger scrapbook paper, colored it with Copic markers and then layered that on top of dark brown. I did the same thing with the turkey.

Once the card was finished I added a little bit of Rock Candy stickles (my favorite) for shimmer and a little silver bead. I also added some squiggle lines, vines in the leaves and a slight border around the saying with a brown colored pencil.

I hope you’re all having a great November!
