The rubber stamped version of this quilt came first (To the World, 8033-K), but I always knew I just had to interpret it in cloth. This is one of the first quilts to use quite a bit of embroidery - although I think it was certainly worth the work.
I also taught a class and two of the ladies wanted to turn the girl into a boy. It was pretty easily done - a change from long hair to short, a pair of pants instead of a skirt and for the flower, they were putting a leash in the little boys hand instead.
