Brushed Borders & Clouds

I use brushes to add color around card edges. I also use them to create clouds. You'll need a brush or sponge and a stamp pad for this technique.

Brushed Borders

Tapping

Using your brush or sponge tap it on your stamp pad and then tap it on your card.

Sample cards using this method:

Straight Border

Lay down a piece of scratch paper on your cardstock. Using your brush or sponge tap it on your stamp pad and then tap it on your card. Work from the piece of scratch paper towards your project.

Clouds

Step 1

Tear a piece of your scrap paper off. Make the tear kind of wobbly so it's interesting.

Step 2

On your piece of paper/cardstock (whatever you're finished project is going to be on) lay the piece of torn paper down. Using a brush (or a sponge) and a light blue stamp pad, tap ink along the edge of the torn piece of paper.
TIP: For rainy skies use gray ink, or for a sunset use orange or purple or pink.

Step 3

Repeat Step 2 moving your piece of torn up. Be sure to rotate the torn paper this way and that so your clouds don't look to uniform.

Finish

Add your favorite bird, balloon or super-hero. Up, up and away!
